Book Awards

The American Library Association has announced the literary award winners for 2006. The winner of the Michael J Printz Award for excellence in literature written for young adults is:

- "American Born Chinese" by Gene Luen Yang

The four Printz Honor Books are:

- "The Astonishing Life of Octavian Nothing, Traitor to the Nation; v. 1: The Pox Party" by   M. T. Anderson
- "An Abundance of Katherines" by John Green
- "Surrender" by Sonya Hartnett
- "The Book Thief" by Markus Zusak

Financial Aid for College

The library offers free materials from Federal Student Aid (FSA) and EDFUND for you to take home.  These include FAFSA forms and workbooks.  They can be found at the west entrance of the library.
