My name is Stephanie D. Brown.  I was hired in November 2006 as the LAMP Literacy Program Administrator.  Since I've started, we've trained and matched 15 new tutors with adults on our waiting list.

Lately, I've been working to apply for grants to support literacy programs.  In March, I submitted a grant proposal letter to the Los Angeles Clippers Foundation.  In April, I submitted grant proposal applications to the Target Early Childhood Reading Grant and the Kaiser Permanente Grant.  In June, I will submit another grant to Cathay Bank and I've already submitted a draft to our city librarian for our Early Learning with Families program.
