Every Saturday afternoon from 2:00–4:00 p.m. the library shows movies to adults and teens in the Large Classroom (Room 214) on the second floor. The November films focus on food, eating, and cooking in celebration of Thanksgiving.

El día de los muertos/ Day of the Dead Program for Teens

The Junior Friends of the library will host a Day of the Dead/El día de los muertos celebration for teens on Friday, November 2 from 3:30 – 5:00 p.m. in the Friends Room. The celebration will include activities to commemorate deceased friends and relatives and crafts. For more information, contact the Reference Desk at (626) 307-1368.

College Essay Workshop

The Chinese American Citizens Alliance Youth Council is hosting a scholarship and personal essay workshop for students applying to college on Saturday, October 27 from 3:00–5:00 p.m. in Room 214 on the second floor of the library. Jack Song and a panel of college students or recent graduates will offer tips on writing personal essays for college and scholarship applications.
