Sunday, December 2 starting at 2:00 p.m. the Friends of the Library will present the winners of the Education and Culture Foundation of Monterey Park’s annual Oratorical Contest.

Saturday, December 1 from 2:00–4:00 p.m. the library will show a holiday movie to adults and teens in the Large Classroom (Room 214) on the second floor.

The library’s Anime/Manga Club meets every third Thursday from 3:30-5:30 p.m. in the Friends Room. The meeting is open to teens ages 13-18 or in grades 7-12. Club members watch the latest anime releases from Funimation and ADV Films and discuss anime and manga purchases for the library. The next meeting of the Anime Club is on Thursday, November 15.
