Let’s Talk About It: Jewish Literature – Identity and Imagination

The library has received a grant from the American Library Association and Nextbook to host "Let’s Talk About It: Jewish Literature – Identity and Imagination," a reading and book discussion series designed to explore Jewish literature and culture. Barbara Bilson, former professor of English at Santa Monica College, will be leading the five book discussion series centered around the theme of "Neighbors: The World Next Door." The sessions will be Saturdays from 10:00 a.m.-12:00 noon. The books and dates of discussion are:

February 9—A Journey To the End of the Millennium by A. B. Yehoshua

February 23—Red Cavalry by Isaac Babel

March 8—Neighbors by Jan T. Gross

March 22—The Assistant by Bernard Malamud

April 12—Mona In the Promised Land by Gish Jan
