Beginning Monday, October 11 the library will participate in the In-N-Out Burger “Cover to Cover Club” Reading Program for children ages 4 to 12. To participate, children need to register at the Children’s Desk to receive a reading log and check out books at their reading level from the Monterey Park Bruggemeyer Library. The child needs to return to the Children’s Desk to receive credit for the books he or she has read. When the child has read five books, his or her parent or guardian must sign the reading log to be able to receive a “Cover to Cover Club” achievement award which is good for a free hamburger or cheeseburger at any In-N-Out Burger. Children ages 4 and up that are not yet reading may have their parents read to them. Children may receive up to three award certificates during the program.
