To celebrate the Week of the Young Child, the Children’s services Department has invited Dentist Justin Hsieh 謝佳行牙醫 to have a “child dental care” presentation to young children and their caregivers on Wednesday, April 14 at 10:30 a.m. in the Friends Room. During this 30 minutes free program Dr. Hsieh will teach young children how to correctly brush their teeth and help them to learn about dental hygiene with colorful and informative visual aids.  At the end of the program, each attending preschooler will receive a complimentary dental care toy/stickers to raise awareness of the dental hygiene.   To tie in with the Dr. Hsieh’s presentation, the library will do a book display on teeth, dental health and dentist visit for children and their caregivers to check out.   Dr. Hsieh obtained his Doctor of Dental Medicine (D.M.D.) from Boston University. He is a member of the American Dental Association and the California Dental Association. Locally, he is a member of the San Gabriel Dental Society and is committed in using his talent and skill to serve the community.  Dr. Hsieh emphasizes that developing good habits at an early age and scheduling regular dental visits helps children get a good start on a lifetime of healthy teeth and gums.  For more information about the Week of the Young Child program, please call the Children’s Desk at (626) 307-1358.
