The library has received a grant from the American Library Association and NextBook to conduct two series of book discussions, co-sponsored by the Fetzer Institute.  Interested participants can sign up at the Reference Desk for the series starting in January. The sessions will be Saturday mornings from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 Noon. Barbara Bilson, former professor of English at Santa Monica College, will be leading the five-part book discussion series.  The dates and books to be read and discussed are –             March 14—Disgrace by J.M. Coetzee            March 28—Jazz by Toni Morrison            April 18—The Death of Ivan Illyich by Leo Tolstoy            May 9—The Dead by James Joyce
