Library Card Sign-Up Month

Libraries are not the quiet places people remember. Today's libraries are dynamic, modern community centers for education, information and entertainment. Librarians are the ultimate search engine helping everyone find what one needs for health, jobs and other needs. September is “Library Card Sign-up Month"- a time when the Monterey Park Bruggemeyer Library reminds parents and guardians to make sure their child has the most important school supply of all -- a library card. Get carded @ your library.

For a child under the age of fourteen to get a library card of his or her own, the child must come to the library with his or her parent or legal guardian. The parent must bring photo identification and proof of address to register a child for a library card. Get a child’s school year off to a good start and bring them to the library to get a library card!

For more information about library cards, please call (626) 307-1366.
